Robert Working as a Manager & HSE Specialist Oil & Gas (and linkages to the local economy, He participated in the design and dissemination of the Public Information and Education (PIE) materials on environmental management of oil and gas development in the Albertine Graben. He also coordinated and delivered oil and gas HSE training of trainers of selected local district technical staff from ten districts in the Albertine Graben Including Hoima, Masindi, and Buliisa Districts and submitted a report to the Chief of Party.
Robert is an enthusiastic, Researcher, Petroleum and Energy Management Expert, Environment, Health, Safety, and Social Security Management Consultant, who enjoys participating in, as well as leading a successful productive team, grasps easily new ideas and concepts for development initiatives. He is creative in enhancing sustainable solutions to problems. while demonstrating a high degree of integrity with motivation required to meeting tight deadlines.
While working with CNOOC as an environmental offset, restoration, and remediation consultant, he developed and implemented activities meant for community environmental restoration and remediation mechanisms for oil and gas activities in the Kingfisher Petroleum Development Project. He also helped to offset the footprint of drilling and production operations for oil and gas projects through enhancing environmental restoration and pollution remediation.
Robert also worked as a national coordinator for Uganda Civil Society Coalition on Oil and Gas where he participated in the research and coordination of the work of the civil society coalition on oil and gas and facilitated the work of CSCO Steering Committee through ensuring effective communication among the CSCO members. Currently, Robert is the Manager of Oil & Gas projects in the Bunyoro kingdom and has spear headed the coordination of the oil companies including Total energies, CNOOC with the kingdom subjects, to foster development and create positive economic impact in the kingdom.
Robert attended subsequent international trainings resulting from the scholarship awarded to him for Training in Environment and Geotechnical in managing large volume wastes as well as Mining effects, these were Organized by the International mining centre for development (IM4DC), University of Perth, Queensland, and Australian Government.
